Q: Do Beeswax Wraps leave a residue?

A: If you feel some residue on your hands or on some of your dishes, fruit and vegetables after using our Beeswax Wraps don't worry this is normal and is 100% food safe. This is due to the natural ingredients we use that have a natural stickiness and self-sealing properties. The stickiness is stronger at the beginning and reduces and wears off over time. To clean your hands, simply use some dish soap and water.

Q: Why are my Beeswax Wraps flaking?

A: This can happen as our Beeswax Wraps are 100% Handmade, sometimes the wraps need a little longer to 'cure', or there may be too much Beeswax applied which is unable to absorb into the fabric, most customers understand and accept the nature of these Beeswax Wraps properties. If however, you would prefer to replace your Beeswax Wrap, please email us with a photo of your wrap attached to info@saffronandserai.com and we will do our best to assist you. Please also note, flaking of the Beeswax can also happen overtime, as the beeswax will start to breakdown with use. and this is also completely normal.
